Meet Ashley Cross
Ashley is a Chattanooga native, who moved for ten years to sunny San Diego with her husband, a Navy SEAL for the past 10 years. In that time, they have been blessed with three amazing children, and a lifetime of experiences and memories. Over the course of ten years, Ashley shifted her educational focus from medicine to midwifery. Sensing a calling to help mothers during the vulnerability of pregnancy and labor, Ashley immersed herself in valuable training and mentorships, in order to gain knowledge in how to serve women with compassionate, educated, and unbiased support. Ashley has attended over thirty births as a labor doula and midwife's assistant, in a variety of setting including home birth, birth center, water birth, breech birth, caesarean, precipitous labor, and even assisted a mom while her husband Facetimed from Afghanistan. Ashley has recently finished a rigorous training in bereavement doula certification, enabling her to assist mothers who have fatal diagnosis, or are experiencing miscarriage. Currently Ashley is in Nursing school at Southern Adventist University, and when she's not studying or attending births, loves meal preparation and cooking, adventures with her family, and staying fit and healthy.
